About the Brand

About

Black Girl Magic Day Inc. is a Harlem-founded nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting girls of color through confidence-building programs, mentorship, and community-centered experiences.

The organization’s signature Pink Carpet event serves girls ages 2–13 and delivers a celebrity-style empowerment experience that includes recognition walks, swag bags, motivational speakers, youth DJs, dancing, award presentations, and community celebration moments designed to build confidence and visibility.

In addition to its signature event, Black Girl Magic Day Inc. is developing a structured afterschool program focused on enrichment, creativity, leadership exposure, and personal development. The program is designed to provide consistent support, skill-building, and empowerment resources beyond the annual event.

Through partnerships and programming, the organization creates affirming spaces where girls are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Founding Story

Black Girl Magic Day began as a community empowerment event in Harlem created to give young girls of color a visible, affirming recognition experience. After witnessing the impact of celebration, representation, and encouragement on participating girls, the initiative expanded into a formal nonprofit organization. Today, it combines a signature Pink Carpet empowerment event with developing afterschool programming to provide both celebration moments and ongoing support.
