Four Sundays, one candle at a time. Our beeswax Advent candles are hand-dipped from 100% pure beeswax and dyed all the way through in the traditional colors: deep Eggplant purple for hope, peace and love, and soft Dusty Rose for the third Sunday's joy. They give off a warm, golden light and a gentle honey aroma. Paraffin can't do either.

What's in the set

• 3 pairs of Eggplant (purple) tapers and 1 pair of Dusty Rose (pink) tapers: 8 candles in total
• Enough for your wreath plus a full spare set, so you can replace candles that burn down before Christmas
• Standard 7/8" diameter to fit most Advent wreaths and taper holders
• Choose 8", 10", 12" or 16" lengths

How to light your Advent wreath

• First Sunday: one purple candle
• Second Sunday: two purple candles
• Third Sunday (Gaudete): two purple candles and the pink candle
• Fourth Sunday: all four candles

The first candle burns the most, which is why the spare set comes in handy. Taller tapers (12" or 16") are a good choice if you light your wreath every evening, not just on Sundays.

Why beeswax for Advent

• 100% pure beeswax, nothing added. Lightly filtered cappings wax from US beekeepers, hand-dipped in Montrose, Colorado, since 1991.
• About 1 hour of burn per inch, and drip-free with proper care.
• Color dyed all the way through, not a painted-on coat, so it stays rich as the candle burns down.

Candle care

• To prevent dripping, keep tapers away from windows, fans and drafts. We don't recommend hurricane glass for tapers, because the radiant heat can cause drips.
• Leave the burnt wick untrimmed before relighting to help prevent drips.
• Use a snuffer for a smoke-free finish.
• Burn on a heat-safe surface and never leave a candle unattended.
