Coclico

Founded in 2000 and opening our Mott Street store in 2001, Coclico is a New York City-based footwear house that approaches design with equal parts precision and poetry, merging modern design with traditional shoemaking. Each collection is shaped by culture and craft, distilled into wearable form.

Designed with a minimal yet expressive hand, each silhouette is a study in balance: past and present, structure and ease, the practical and the poetic.

We draw from architecture, music, and movement — creative disciplines where structure meets rhythm, and form follows feeling. Our aesthetic is refined and sculptural, defined by restraint, intention, and ease.

Each pair is made in a family-run Spanish atelier using materials chosen for their beauty and environmental footprint. Our commitment to integrity runs from form to finish: certified sustainable woods, thoughtfully-tanned leathers, and production practices that favor longevity over excess.

Coclico is a rarity as an independently-owned, small accessories house that focuses entirely on its expertise in shoes. Always intended to have a life beyond its founding mothers, since inception, our small team has eschewed creating a cult-of-personality and instead has cultivated a cult of design. We work behind the scenes, saving the spotlight for the products, and imparting a reflexive quality on each design so that it represents not only the creator's vision but also the wearer’s individuality.

Now, with over two decades behind us as proof of concept, we look forward to continuing to supply foundational elements of the modern wardrobe for years to come.
