Founded by seasoned chicken soup entrepreneurs (and cousins!) Valerie and Taryn, Cookstix was born out of years in the premium soup world and a shared passion to make stock—a foundational step in cooking—more accessible, sustainable, and more delicious than what is on the market.

Founding Story
The idea for Cookstix started with a simple question: why does chicken stock—a kitchen staple—so often go to waste? Cousins Taryn and Valerie, both avid home cooks and seasoned chicken soup entrepreneurs, were tired of tossing half-used cartons in the fridge or settling for bouillon packed with unpronounceable ingredients. With years of experience in the premium soup world, they knew there had to be a better way to bring real, rich stock into everyday cooking—without the mess, the waste, or the compromises.
That “aha” moment sparked the creation of Cookstix: clean-label, dehydrated stock sticks that deliver the flavor of homemade stock in a perfectly portioned, shelf-stable format.
