Founding Story
The origins of CP Slippers trace back to the 1960s when a humble Andalusian family relocated to Elche, Spain, seeking opportunities in the burgeoning footwear industry. In 1981, the family's patriarch traveled to Japan and was inspired by the cultural practice of wearing indoor slippers to maintain cleanliness and comfort. Upon returning to Spain, he began crafting simple leather slippers for friends and family, laying the foundation for what would become CP Slippers.
Years later, his grandson, Oscar Arenas, cherished the memory of slipping into those handcrafted slippers, likening the sensation to walking barefoot. This profound connection led Oscar to pursue leather craftsmanship, eventually establishing CP Slippers to share this unique experience with the world. Today, the brand continues to honor its heritage by producing high-quality, minimalist slippers that celebrate the art of traditional shoemaking.
