Known for oversized silhouettes, vibrant prints, and functional designs, Folklore pieces are made for women who want practical bags without sacrificing style. The collection blends a vintage-inspired aesthetic with modern functionality, offering travel accessories that transition seamlessly from airport carry-ons and road trips to beach vacations and everyday life.
In addition to its signature quilted bags, Folklore Couture offers limited-edition reversible Kantha jackets handcrafted from vintage quilts, making every piece one of a kind.
Founding Story
Folklore Couture was founded by Missouri entrepreneur Erin Coleman after years working in the fashion and ecommerce industries. Frustrated by a market filled with either overly practical travel bags or overly trendy ones that lacked function, she set out to create bags that felt both joyful and useful.
Folklore Couture started out as a wholesale brand selling nation-wide to boutiques and retail shops. Has now expanded to retail, DTC too.
Folklore Couture partners with manufacturers in India to produce vibrant quilted travel accessories inspired by vintage textiles, global craftsmanship, and the belief that practical products can still spark joy. What began as a small boutique brand has grown into a loyal community of customers who describe the collection as "the cool-girl version of a classic quilted bag."
