About
Leland Francis is a 100% natural fragrance house creating botanical compositions and plant-based essentials. Each fragrance is composed exclusively from natural raw materials and crafted in Los Angeles in small batches. Skincare and candles extend the ritual, produced with the same commitment to botanical integrity and refined design. Vegan and Leaping Bunny certified.
Founding Story
Leland Francis began in 2015 in New York with a single product, a face oil. Skincare followed, then candles in 2016, then fine fragrance in 2022.
Founder Dillon Peña started in makeup and skincare over twenty years ago behind a counter on Western Avenue in Oklahoma City. He grew up in Canute and Elk City, in western Oklahoma. That is where the fragrances come from. La Reina is his grandmother, María Reyna Peña. 109 is a rural route box number outside Elk City, the address where his grandmother Wanda lived. Dirt Roads is his grandfather Vernon. Franklin is his great-grandfather. James, which won a 2023 Cosmopolitan Clean Beauty Award, is his partner.
The work is still done by hand. Batches are macerated, filtered, and bottled in the Los Angeles studio.

Dillon Peña is a celebrity and editorial makeup artist and the founder of Leland Francis, a clean, gender-inclusive skincare and fragrance brand.
Raised on a farm in Western Oklahoma, his connection to nature and his great-grandfather, Leland Francis Towns, inspired the brand’s name and ethos. Dillon launched Leland Francis to fill the gap in plant-based, high-performance products. Today, the brand is known for its minimalist formulas, small-batch production, and commitment to sustainability.
