About the Brand

About

At Mouthfeel, we believe wine is a dialogue between the earth and the palate — but let’s be honest, it should also be fun.

And this isn’t our first rodeo.

Winemaker and Owner Kevin Mills and Jenny Lynn have spent decades producing wines in Napa Valley for wineries big and small, as well as their own brands. With Mouthfeel, they’re bringing that experience, dirt-under-the-nails knowledge, and no-BS winemaking approach to the table.

We make clean, balanced, lower-alcohol wines crafted without unnecessary additives — with respect for the land, the vineyard, the people drinking them, and for the gosh-darn love of the wine’s mouthfeel.

Texture, balance, energy, intensity — that’s where the magic lives. Our wines are made to feel good, drink beautifully, and overdeliver at an approachable price.

Because at the end of the day, it’s the feel that seals the deal.

And if it feels right, it just can’t be wrong

Founding Story

The Mouthfeel Founders Story:

Mouthfeel Wines was founded by Napa Valley winemakers Jenny Lynn and Kevin Mills after more than 20 years each in the wine business — and one shared realization: wine had started taking itself a little too seriously.

Jenny came up through Napa with a background in viticulture and experience across nearly every side of the business — vineyards, winemaking, sales and brand building. In 2011, she began making wines of her own under Olet’te Vineyards and Tribe & Arrow Napa Valley.

Kevin has spent his career in the cellar, quietly obsessed with making balanced, delicious wines without unnecessary intervention or fanfare. He has made wine for some of Napa Valley’s top producers, earning near-perfect scores across multiple vintages, and now produces wines under his own label, Mills Wines.
Different personalities. Same philosophy: Start with great fruit. Pick for freshness. Keep the winemaking thoughtful. And don’t screw it up!

After years of making and selling traditional Napa wine, they kept coming back to the same question:
When did enjoying wine start to feel like something you needed to study for?

At the same time, a new generation of drinkers was reaching for cocktails, spritzes and RTDs — things that felt fun, approachable and easy to enjoy. Jenny and Kevin didn’t believe wine needed to be dumbed down. They thought it simply needed to loosen up.

Because at the end of the day, the question that really matters is:
HOW DOES YOUR MOUTHFEEL?
So they created Mouthfeel — wine for people who don’t need to be told how to drink it.
The wines are made the way Jenny and Kevin actually want to drink them: bright, fresh, balanced, lower in alcohol and always finished dry with 0 residual sugar. They pick earlier to preserve natural acidity, ferment cooler to retain freshness and aromatics, and take a lighter-handed approach in the cellar. Farming is thoughtful, incorporating organic and biodynamic practices where possible.

That’s what they mean by No Funny Business.

And yes, Kevin insisted on the screw cap. Because great wine should be just as comfortable at a backyard BBQ, concert or beach picnic as it is on a white tablecloth.

Jenny brought the attitude, storytelling and bold, 90s-inspired visual identity. Kevin brought an understated, old-school winemaking philosophy and a healthy resistance to wine jargon.

Together, they created a Napa Valley wine brand that takes the wine seriously without taking itself too seriously.

Good wine. No funny business.
Serious wine. Zero snobbery.

Jenny Lynn is a first-generation wine producer, vintner, and entrepreneur whose career has been rooted in Napa Valley and a deep respect for vineyard-driven wines. After earning a B.S. in Wine & Viticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, followed by a master’s degree in Global Wine Marketing, Jenny settled in Napa Valley and began building a portfolio of small-production brands focused on place, farming, and thoughtful winemaking.

In 2011, Jenny co-founded Olet’te Vineyards with the goal of producing elegant, vineyard-designate Pinot Noir from exceptional sites throughout Northern California. With an emphasis on small lots, sustainably farmed vineyards, and wines that reflect their origins, Olet’te gained recognition among sommeliers, wine critics, and collectors. Its Blanc de Blancs was later named to Wine Enthusiast’s "Best Of Year"- which Jenny was included in 5 consecutive years and counting.

Jenny’s Napa Valley focus expanded with Tribe & Arrow, a brand dedicated to showcasing the diversity of Napa Valley terroir through single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The wines explore the contrast between the rugged mountain vineyards of the Diamond Mountain District and the cooler, more moderate vineyards of the Napa Valley floor. Each bottling is designed to highlight the character of its vineyard rather than force the wine into a predetermined style, allowing elevation, soils, climate, and vintage to speak through the finished wine. Tribe & Arrow reflects Jenny’s belief that Napa Valley Cabernet and Bordeaux varieties can be powerful while still maintaining freshness, balance, and a strong sense of place.

In September 2026, Jenny and her winemaking partner Kevin Mills launched MOUTHFEEL, a new Napa Valley wine brand built around a fresh interpretation of what Napa wine can be. The inaugural wines include a Certified Organic St. Helena Albariño and a Napa Valley Red Blend.
The MOUTHFEEL winemaking philosophy emphasizes biodynamic and organic farming practices where possible, earlier harvest decisions to preserve natural acidity and bright fruit, lower alcohol, minimal intervention, and wines designed for energy, balance, and immediate enjoyment. Its bold, energetic packaging was created to bring a little more “zing” to the category and invite a new generation of wine drinkers, including consumers increasingly reaching for cocktails and RTDs, back into the Napa Valley wine conversation.
Across each of her brands, Jenny’s goal remains the same: make expressive wines with a clear sense of place while keeping wine approachable, exciting, and fun. Feel free to text Jenny at 707-962-8082
