Jake Pressman grew up immersed in the personal care manufacturing world; his family’s business gave him early exposure to the science of formulating beauty products. After studying business at Boston University, he returned to his hometown of Los Angeles to launch Notion Skincare at just 24 years old. Inspired by a passion for sustainability—but aware that environmental friendliness alone doesn’t build a successful brand—Jake set out to create products that marry eco-responsibility with uncompromising performance. Leveraging access to a professional laboratory, an FDA-approved manufacturing facility, and experienced cosmetic chemists, he developed Notion’s waterless Gentle Foaming Cleanser Powder.

Today, Jake’s mission is straightforward yet ambitious: offer skincare that’s as sustainable as it is effective, so consumers never have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for the planet.
