About the Brand
About
Welcome to Symphony of Leaves Tea Co., where we celebrate the art and science of premium loose-leaf tea. Our journey began with a simple belief: exceptional tea deserves to be sourced with integrity, crafted with care, and shared with those who appreciate true quality.
We partner exclusively with artisanal tea producers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainable farming practices. Every tea in our collection is hand-selected for its unique terroir, the distinctive characteristics that reflect the tea plant's origin, climate, and cultivation methods. From single-origin harvests to our signature artisan-crafted blends, we ensure complete transparency throughout our supply chain, guaranteeing fair compensation for growers and harvesters.
Founding Story
Years ago, while exploring San Francisco's historic Chinatown, I discovered a small, unassuming tea shop on Grant Street. What began as a casual visit transformed into a life-changing education in premium loose-leaf tea and artisan tea blends.
The shop owner's son warmly welcomed me and asked a simple question: "What are your favorite teas?" At that moment, I realized I had only ever experienced mass-produced bagged teas from supermarket shelves, highly flavored, commodity-grade products that bore little resemblance to authentic, high-quality tea. This encounter sparked my passion for exploring the rich diversity of single-origin teas, rare varietals, and carefully crafted blends from artisanal producers around the world.

For many years, I enjoyed selling media and I valued the experience of working in a corporate environment. In fact, I never had the desire to be either a small business owner, or an entrepreneur. High risk doesn’t entice me, so entrepreneurship is still not my goal.
While I loved selling media and thought I would do it forever, I began to grow weary with the uncertainty of experiencing and or watching layoffs. Having experienced layoffs 3 times during my career, I no longer saw what I was doing as a path to retirement. Being a small business owner is where I have landed and there is no turning back for me. I love it.
