Delilah Home Secures Exclusive U.S. Distribution Agreement with J.F. Almeida for Drytek® High Performance Towels

Delilah Home Launches High-Performance Drytek® Towels for the Beach and Pet

Weddington, NC (March 25, 2024) – Delilah Home, a leading direct-to-consumer bath and home textiles company based in Weddington, NC, proudly announces an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with J.F. Almeida for its groundbreaking Drytek® High Performance Beach and Dog Towels. These innovative towels are the first of their kind, crafted from 100% Global Recycled Standard (GRS)-certified recycled polyester, helping to divert 25-60 plastic bottles per towel from landfills and oceans.

João Almeida, CEO of J.F. Almeida, expressed excitement about the partnership:

"We are thrilled to partner with Delilah Home and expand the Drytek® business in the U.S. After three years of development, we’re confident in Michael and his team’s ability to introduce this innovative technology to the American market."

Michael Twer, CEO and Founder of Delilah Home, highlighted Drytek’s revolutionary impact:

"Drytek takes 100% recycled textiles to the next level. With a plush terry towel feel, our Drytek® towels redefine what a high-performance towel can be. More importantly, they are the first 100% recycled towels that can be recycled again—a true game-changer for sustainability."

Twer emphasized Drytek’s environmental mission:

"By transforming waste from pre- and post-consumer plastic water bottles into a high-performance towel, we’re offering a real solution to combat single-use plastic pollution. Our proprietary process ensures superior softness and absorbency, without the plasticky feel often associated with recycled textiles. Plus, our use of low-impact dyes provides vibrant colors while minimizing environmental impact."

Luxury That Gives BackDelilah Home was founded on a simple belief: luxury should be better for your home, better for the planet, and better for the people who make it.Founded in 2019 by Michael Twer in North Carolina, Delilah Home creates award-winning home textiles that combine exceptional comfort, timeless design, and sustainable craftsmanship. Every product is thoughtfully designed using responsibly sourced materials and ethically manufactured in family-owned factories in Portugal.Today, Delilah Home offers a complete collection of GOTS-certified organic cotton bedding, bath, beach, kitchen, and home essentials, along with innovative high-performance towels made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Our products are made to help people create healthier, more comfortable homes without compromising on quality or sustainability. The Story Behind Our NameDelilah Home is named after a remarkable golden retriever named Delilah. As a young puppy, Delilah became lost in the mountains of North Carolina and survived alone for 62 days before being found. Her incredible resilience captured the hearts of an entire community, whose kindness and determination ultimately brought her home. That experience inspired more than just a company—it inspired a philosophy. If you can't pay it back, pay it forward. That belief continues to guide every decision we make, from how we manufacture our products to how we support the communities around us.Sustainability Without CompromiseAt Delilah Home, sustainability isn't a trend—it's our foundation. We use GOTS-certified organic cotton that is grown without harmful pesticides or toxic chemicals, creating products that are safer for you, your family, and the environment. Our manufacturing partners in Portugal share our commitment to ethical production, fair wages, responsible resource management, and exceptional craftsmanship. Our products are also certified vegan and designed to last, reducing waste while delivering the luxurious comfort customers expect from premium home textiles.Innovation That Makes a DifferenceWe believe innovation should solve problems while reducing environmental impact. That philosophy led to the creation of Drytek™, our revolutionary collection of high-performance towels made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. Drytek towels absorb up to 4.5 times their weight in water, dry significantly faster than traditional cotton towels, resist odors, repel sand, and are designed for travel, fitness, the beach, camping, and pets.To extend the life of every towel, Delilah Home also introduced one of North America's first Take Back Programs for performance towels. Customers can return used Drytek towels to be repaired, donated, or recycled into new products, supporting a more circular economy.Award-Winning QualityOur commitment to quality has earned recognition from some of the most respected names in home and lifestyle.Delilah Home Organic Cotton Sheets have been recognized by Good Housekeeping as one of the Best Organic Sheets, while our products have also been featured by The Wall Street Journal, Real Simple, Parents, Better Homes & Gardens, The Spruce, and numerous other national publications.Today, Delilah Home products are available through leading retailers including Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Target.com, Walmart.com, Amazon, Perigold, Zola, and other premium retail partners.A Business Built on Giving BackSuccess means little unless it creates positive change. That's why Delilah Home donates up to 10% of its profits and countless volunteer hours to organizations that strengthen the communities we serve. From supporting children and families to disaster relief, veteran programs, and community initiatives, giving back remains central to who we are.Our mission extends beyond making exceptional products—we strive to leave the world better than we found it.Looking AheadAs Delilah Home continues to grow, our commitment remains unchanged. We will continue designing beautiful, responsibly made home textiles that help people sleep better, live healthier, and make more sustainable choices every day.Because true luxury isn't just about how something feels. It's about how it's made, who it helps, and the positive impact it leaves behind.
