Lakewood, Ohio ceramics studio selected alongside Storehouse Tea to represent Cleveland's women-owned businesses in the WNBA expansion team's founding sponsor outreach
Gina DeSantis Ceramics has been featured in Sports Business Journal as part of the Cleveland Sirens' high-profile push to secure founding corporate sponsors — two years ahead of the team's 2028 WNBA debut.
According to the August 18, 2026 Sports Business Journal feature, Sirens President Allison Howard and her team sent custom packages to prospective sponsors including Progressive Insurance, selecting Gina DeSantis Ceramics mugs and Storehouse Tea — both women-owned Cleveland businesses — to deliver a pointed message: we're investing in women, and you should too.
The strategy worked. Cleveland secured three founding sponsors in Progressive Insurance, KeyBank, and Cleveland Clinic, with Howard telling Sports Business Journal those deals will bring in eight figures annually.
Being chosen as the face of that outreach places Gina DeSantis Ceramics at the center of one of the most closely watched stories in women's sports business — and signals the studio's standing as a flagship brand in Cleveland's creative economy.
